Ed Sheeran - Cross Me

During my tenure at the Moving Picture Company, I was privileged to contribute to the production of the music video for Ed Sheeran featuring Chance the Rapper in "Cross Me."

My role involved strategic guidance to the team on optimizing the execution of numerous CG shots within a real-time environment. This advisory aimed to enhance both the speed and cost efficiency associated with real-time rendering techniques.

In addition to my advisory role, I undertook the direct responsibility of executing two shots under the guidance of the video director, Ryan Staake. Known for his minimalist art style, Ryan's direction influenced my approach. Enclosed are some of the preliminary, more photorealistic tests, serving as the foundational exploration that eventually led to the adoption of Ryan's simplified aesthetic in the final production.

Key responsibilities within this project included:

  1. Strategic advise for real time rendering: Optimizing the workflow of facial motion capture using livelink app, and advising on the use of unreal as a fast real time renderer

  2. Completing two shots: Completing under water scene, and forest scene
